ah...the weekend....was sick all friday (actually got to sleep !! was a nice change of pace.....am feeling a bit better, but still not great.......hope to get more rest this weekend...and finish up a few things I promised to do ....)

Ya, we are doing the wedding our way as far as we know. We are lucky that both our sisters got married recently so that we are able to pick and choose what we liked that they did. So that is nice.

well... I TRIED to sleep but between snorring and my brain on over load....I have yet to get to sleep (5 hours after I posted that last post )...dang thought I was past the insomnia ....

but going to give it that college try again!!

and very glad for you pwnd...its nice to have templates--so to speak--to use as a basis, it had been quite a few years better when my siblings got married and when I did--- and quite a few miles too.

I hate trying to sleep when your brain is in overdrive... Talk about irritating... Good lcuk with your nap.

Ya it is nice to have those to go off of instead of starting from scratch.

Napping is nice, except when you can't fall asleep at night because you took a nap. Then not so awesome.

<3 sleep....naps are the best thing invented (even better than sliced bread--though fiep would argue)....

better doing better, got some sleep (MOST of friday ).....been taking down the xmas decorations....took my lights down outside since its sooo nice the last week (usually leave them on until at least Epiphany)....and trying to convince them to go back into the containers they came out of---

just have my tree left (it, too, has to be convinced to get back into its box--just not ready to wrestle with it after almost losing to the lights!)
getting used to writing 2012...dang...I can still remember writing 2008....man life is moving fast now.

got a letter from a guy I dated back in college (he is a year older than I--wife is his age)...got married 2 years ago, and is having a 2nd kid---...just didnt think that peeps looking at the big five oh would still be having babies.....(I know I have no thoughts of doing such a....*&^$ thing!!!).....

I'm waiting for my fiancee to get back so that we can take the tree down that is at her place. Especially since it isn't our tree lol Borrowed it from a lady at work.

Sleep is good, glad you are starting to feel better.

People still send letters? And from a guy you dated in college? Weird... I don't usually keep in touch with my ex'es.

I am friends with ALL my ex'es ('cept 1--though I did set him up with the lady he later married...but I think he still has 'feelings' for me)....and yes we write letters, have a few people who still like to get real mail! And considering 90% of the people that were my friends in college are male ....yeah, we write about once a year or so----

borrowed?? a tree???--never heard of that, I have had my own tree since college (my gramma gave me her 1 foot tree back then, its an antique now and somehow back in fashion again)..have a few other tiny trees, and a few fabric ones I made (and yes a stuffed one made by Steiff)...so always had a tree here..just not one of those big ones that stands on the floor.

Hmm, well that is good. I guess I shouldn't say I'm not in contact with them, I am Facebook friends with them and we usually exchange birthday wishes, except with my last ex. That was a bit of a nasty split so we don't really talk at all.

A co-worker of mine said she had an extra one and asked if I wanted to use it. I said sure so we borrowed one this year. Next year I think we are planning on getting a REAL tree, cause she likes them. So ya, I think next year I might be cutting down my first tree and putting it up.

facebook---well, that didnt exist when I was dating....and I dont do facebook, I dont blog, I have never twitttttted....I have a regular old landline telephone and a computer with no printer or fax machine. I have pen and paper....yes I am a dinosaur.

at somepoint I will get a place where I can have a real type tree...I have enough decorations for at least 4!

Yes, well they didn't have the internet back then either, no disrespect cosy. And I prefer pen and paper over printing stuff for a lot of things. But so many people want to just use computers now. They are good tools, but that is it. They are tools, not crutches.

Yes and all phones were on the wall and you had to talk to an operator.
Well it turns out you can't even trust orange juice anymore, except maybe Florida's Natural, although the fungicide supposedly isn't harmful to humans. Yet they are going to dump all juice that came from Brazil, makes you wonder.

good thing I dont like orange juice! (I dont drink much juice at all--though I do like some of them--orange juice is just too sweet for me).

nice to see you again rr....hope those storms are passing you by....talked to my sister and she says they are expecting a few inches of snow today! .....I do miss that nice warm weather we had last week

phones on the wall I remember (even in college)...but never had to talk to an operator to get to another phone...that was a weee bit even before MY time!

Ya I read that the other day. The same day I had just finished my Minute Maid...

Storms? Oh you mean the one we got smacked with today? 20-30mph winds? Gusts up to 45 mph? Snow all day? Ya that one? The one that let the kids out early but forced us teachers to stay until 8pm for Parent-Teacher Conferences? The conferences in which NO ONE showed up? Ya. Eff those storms... ><

A little. But no snow day today so I could care less now. Of course having to be back at school less than 12 hours after being allowed to leave sucks... ><

yeah it does.
reminds me of one of the days I was teaching in japan:

typhoon was coming our way..the weather was kinda rainy/little windy...just yukky overall. I got to school no problems at my normal time...at 10am the typhoon starts to come into our area...the school idiots SEND THE KIDS home--RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF IT!!....well had a nice lunch with the teachers (we ordered out), had to stay the rest of the school day with NOTHING to do (the teachers decided to have a teachers meeting which I was not invited)--even the tea lady went home....I spent a few hours doing very little in the teachers room since no one was there.....
I left for the day at my normal time--the typhoon had past and it was SUNNY!!

(had another typhoon at that same school--we had about 15 or so that year--and that time they sent the kids home right when school was supposed to start which was before the typhoon got there...they do learn!! had another day of watching the paint dry).

Ya, teachers definitely get the shaft sometimes. But at least we have summer!

Other than the 13" of snow we had at Halloween, we have had less than an inch since with above normal tempertures. We had a cold front which will make the Pats/Broncos
game tomorrow night in the low 20's. Back to 40's next week.
